The new digital humanity: the relationship between people and machines reaches a new level.
My degree thesis, defended with honours at LABA Firenze: customer experience, artificial intelligence and 3D modelling to give machines a human face.

From the internship
I had the chance to do my curricular internship at Quest-it S.R.L. In that period I studied new techniques for creating and modelling a 3D avatar.
Specifically: 3D modelling, creating my own face through photogrammetric scanning, retopology, rigging and vertex weighting, building textures from the scan photos and integrating animations.


Customer experience at the centre of the business
The first chapter explores the concept of customer experience, defining it as the set of perceptions, emotions and behaviours a person goes through while interacting with a company. It analyses how it shapes loyalty, purchase intent and advocacy.
The chapter introduces the customer centricity model, where the customer becomes the pivot of every company strategy, and illustrates methods such as design thinking that gather feedback and translate needs into innovative solutions.

Artificial intelligence: powering customer experience
The second chapter explores the role of artificial intelligence in improving customer experience, analysing its applications in marketing, customer service and sales.
A case study is presented: Quest-it S.R.L., an Italian company that developed a conversational assistant able to deliver efficient, personalised customer support.

Giving artificial intelligence a human face
The third chapter focuses on 3D modelling as a tool to give artificial intelligence a human face, from scanning to retopology, from modelling to animation and texturing.
It analyses the benefits of 3D avatars in customer experience: increasing engagement, improving communication and creating more memorable experiences.
The thesis closes by underlining the importance of customer experience as a key factor for success in the digital era. Artificial intelligence and 3D modelling emerge as powerful tools for building exceptional experiences based on empathy, personalisation and innovation.
