Le Tarot
A book, a poster and a brochure for an imaginary exhibition about tarot. Purple for mystery, gold for value.

Evocative colours and a curious audience
This graphic project, born for a university exam, is a journey into the world of tarot, a universe full of symbols, mysteries and legends. Making it was a constant challenge, between attempts, second thoughts and new inspiration.
The choice of colour is not accidental: purple, a symbol of mystery, mysticism and meditation, dominates the scene and creates an enigmatic atmosphere. Gold heightens the value and preciousness of these ancient cards, underlining their historic and cultural importance.
The audience is anyone who, driven by healthy curiosity, wants to learn more about tarot, its meanings and its origins.

Artistic techniques and layout
The illustrations, both inside the book and on the cover of the brochure, were drawn freehand in Photoshop, in an eclectic style that combines classic and modern elements.
The decorations on the book cover and the poster were created as vectors in Illustrator, guaranteeing precision and scalability. The layout of the book was done in InDesign, with care over every detail.

The pieces
The poster, a triumph of purple, gold and white, is the soul of the project. Decorated with symbols and lines that echo the main motifs of the book, it catches the eye and invites the viewer into the world of tarot.
The book, as well as being the catalogue of the imaginary exhibition, is a small treasure of knowledge: it traces the history of the cards, explores the meanings of each deck and reveals the legends around them. The thread binding gives it an elegant, lasting feel that recalls antique volumes.
The brochure, small and easy to carry, introduces the world of tarot and the exhibition. On the first page a vector illustration of the wheel of fortune, inspired by the Aleister Crowley deck, announces the journey ahead of the reader.
