Angel
From an old sketch of a fallen angel to a triptych about rebirth, through cold tones, saturation and swords that turn into light.

From the technique
This project, born almost by chance from finding an old sketch of a fallen angel, was a personal challenge and a deep exploration of human emotion. The first image, with its black line art, carried a sense of despair, of being lost and powerless.
In the second drawing I left the minimalism of line art behind and dived into a whirl of colour. I chose a palette of cold tones, dominated by blues and purples, to sharpen the feeling of loneliness, playing with saturation to call back hope and inner strength.
In the last drawing I carried the exploration further, focusing on light and shadow. The swords, once a symbol of defeat and pain, become secondary light sources that lift the face and underline the strength regained.

To the story
Just let go, nothing simpler. My strength is leaving my body now, so why fight? The darkness beneath me is wrapping around me like an endless embrace.
I can feel the feathers slowly coming loose from my wings, my dear wings. I have always loved them, they never let me down: they carried the weight of battles, of powerful winds and of my own thoughts.
And then? Would everything I worked for be lost? Is letting go really the answer to everything? Maybe, if I am asking myself these questions, the answer is no.
Now is the moment to react, to go back to fighting for what I believe in. Now I want to feel the freedom running through my veins, the freedom I have fought for since I was small. Now is the moment to draw the swords and face the world.
